How to sponsor a student

When you send a teen to a Key Leader weekend, you play your part in developing a young leader. Any high school student, ages 14-18 can attend. They can be in Key Club, but it is not a requirement for attendance. A Kiwanis club, Kiwanis member, or any person interested in changing a young life can sponsor a Key Leader student.

Interested in sponsoring a student from your area? Here’s how to get started:
Find an event near you on our locations and dates page. When you have found a location in your community, click on the contact name to e-mail the district contact. He or she can take it from there.

Want to sponsor a student but not sure who?
Connect with your Kiwanis Key Leader contact as listed on the locations and dates page, or learn where to look in your community

Do you have a specific student in mind?
Great! Be sure the student has your name, e-mail address and phone number to enter during the registration process. You will receive an e-mail confirmation that the student has registered, along with an invoice for the registration fee. You can also register the student. See the Online Registration Checklist to make sure you have all of the information you need.
